The SIMSRH library, as the knowledge hub of the university, continues to be a vital component of the university’s mission to create an environment that
generates new knowledge through meaningful research. It provides excellent library and information services to its faculty members, research scholars,
and students. The library endeavors to deliver the best possible services to meet the needs of students, research scholars, faculty members, and staff.
There was a long-felt need for consistency and clarity in the procedures and practices of the library in order to improve its efficiency, utility, and services.
This policy document is a carefully designed, broadly stated, written guideline for the library staff to consult regarding procedures and actions to be taken in the library.
An well-equipped, modern, and well-managed library is the foundation of a modern educational system and plays a critical role in supporting the
academic programs of the university. It identifies, evaluates, procures, processes, and then makes these learning resources available to the faculty and
students for their teaching, learning, and research assignments.
